Effective from: July 1, 2026
1. General Provisions
1.1. These terms and conditions (the Terms) govern the use of the website numismaatika.com and of all other domains operated by Inception OÜ through which the same content is published, including future parallel and successor domains (together, the Website).
1.2. The Website is operated by Inception OÜ, registry code 12484581, address Paekalda 16, 13628, Tallinn, Estonia, e-mail info@numismaatika.com (the Operator).
1.3. By using the Website, the user confirms that they have read the Terms and agree to comply with them. Users who do not agree to the Terms are not permitted to use the Website.
1.4. The Website is a standard catalog of Estonian coins, banknotes and securities and a source of numismatic information. No e-commerce takes place through the Website. Any purchase or sale transactions are concluded outside the Website by separate agreement between the parties.
1.5. The Operator may modify, supplement or remove any content or functionality of the Website at any time without prior notice.
2. Intellectual Property
2.1. All content of the Website, including catalog texts, articles, catalog entries, photographs, graphics, design, logos, data structure, the Reha# numbering system, price information and software (the Content), is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. All rights belong to the Operator or its licensors.
2.2. The catalog of the Website constitutes a database within the meaning of Directive 96/9/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and the Estonian Copyright Act. The Operator, as the maker of the database, has made a substantial investment in obtaining, verifying and presenting its contents and holds the sui generis database rights.
2.3. The protection provided in these Terms also extends to Content published on the Operator's social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
2.4. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
3. Limited License of Use
3.1. The Operator grants the user a free of charge, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable right to browse the Website and to use the Content solely for personal, non-commercial informational and collecting purposes.
3.2. The following is permitted: (a) viewing the Website with an ordinary web browser; (b) printing or saving individual pages for personal use; (c) using short quotations to a justified extent, with attribution in the form “numismaatika.com”.
3.3. The license does not grant any right to reproduce, distribute, publicly display, translate, modify, sell or otherwise use the Content beyond what is permitted in clause 3.1.
4. Prohibited Uses
4.1. Without the prior written permission of the Operator, the following is prohibited:
(a) copying, reproducing or publishing the Content or any part of it on other websites, in print, in applications or elsewhere;
(b) mirroring or framing the Website or any part of it, or displaying it as part of another service;
(c) hotlinking to photographs or embedding them in third-party environments;
(d) automated access to the Website by means of robots, crawlers, scrapers or other automated tools, as well as bulk or systematic downloading of the Content;
(e) extraction or re-utilization of a substantial part of the contents of the database, as well as repeated and systematic extraction or re-utilization of insubstantial parts in a manner that conflicts with the normal exploitation of the database or unreasonably prejudices the legitimate interests of the Operator;
(f) removing, obscuring or altering copyright notices, watermarks or other provenance markings;
(g) using the Content to create a competing catalog, price guide, database, application or service;
(h) circumventing the security measures of the Website, interfering with its operation or placing an unreasonable load on it.
5. Text and Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence Reservation
5.1. The Operator hereby expressly reserves all rights in respect of text and data mining of the following Content within the meaning of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and the Estonian Copyright Act (opt-out) (hereinafter the “Protected Content”): (a) the catalog at numismaatika.com/kataloog/ in all language versions, including its texts, tables, data and Reha# numbering; (b) all images and photographs published on the Website.
5.2. Without the prior written permission of the Operator, any use of the Protected Content is prohibited: (a) for the training, fine-tuning, augmentation or evaluation of machine learning, language or other artificial intelligence models; (b) for the compilation of training, testing or other datasets; (c) for text and data mining for any purpose.
5.3. Text and data mining of other Content, such as articles, frequently asked questions and service descriptions, including the training of artificial intelligence models, is permitted. This does not grant the right to republish the Content in whole or in substantial part and does not affect the other provisions of these Terms.
5.4. The reservation is also expressed in machine-readable form (the file /.well-known/tdmrep.json and robots.txt).
6. The Reha# Numbering System
6.1. Reha# is an original catalog numbering system created by the Operator, covering Estonian coins, banknotes, securities and medals, using series designations together with a unique number (for example coins S-1, banknotes B-1, securities S-1, medals M-1), and forming a protected part of the Website’s database.
6.2. Non-systematic referencing of individual Reha# numbers (for example, in an auction description, a sale listing, a collection inventory, or academic work) is permitted, provided that the reference is accompanied by an indication of the source in the form “Reha# (numismaatika.com)” and that the referencing does not create the impression of the Operator’s endorsement or cooperation.
6.3. It is prohibited to reproduce the numbering system as a whole or any substantial part of it, to compile or publish concordance tables, to use the system in a competing catalog, price guide, database or application, or to include the system in artificial intelligence training data.
7. Photographs and Third-Party Rights
7.1. The photographs published in the catalog originate from private collections whose owners have given permission for publication, or from publicly accessible certification and auction sources, and they document specific certified specimens for the purposes of identification, scholarly documentation and education.
7.2. The Operator acts in good faith when publishing photographs and respects the rights of third parties. If a rights holder believes that their rights have been infringed, the notification procedure described in section 13 applies.
7.3. The serial number of a banknote is an integral and publicly documented feature of the collectible item, by which individual specimens are distinguished in certification databases, auction catalogs and specialist literature. The display of a serial number in the catalog serves the identification of the specimen, scholarly documentation and the detection of counterfeits, and does not reveal any information about the identity of the current or previous owner of the item. The Operator does not publish information about the owners of items.
7.4. If the current owner of a certified item does not wish the image or serial number of their item to be displayed, they may submit a reasoned request to the Operator in accordance with section 13. The Operator will review the request in good faith and may remove the image or mask the serial number.
8. Third-Party Trademarks
8.1. The Website refers, among others, to the following trademarks: NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company), PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service), PMG (Paper Money Guaranty), CAC (Certified Acceptance Corporation), ANACS (American Numismatic Association Certification Service) and ICG (Independent Coin Grading). These trademarks and logos belong to their respective owners.
8.2. The Operator uses these references and logos solely for descriptive purposes, to indicate the certification body of an item or to describe grading services. The Operator is not an official partner, representative or authorized dealer of any of the named organizations unless expressly stated otherwise, and none of the named organizations has approved or endorses the Website.
8.3. Texts describing grading bodies are based on publicly available information and contain the Operator's assessments. They are not official positions of the respective organizations.
8.4. The catalog entries on the Website also use third-party catalog numbers as cross-references: KM# numbers for coins (Standard Catalog of World Coins, Krause Publications), Pick# numbers for banknotes (Standard Catalog of World Paper Money), and Kulo numbers for securities as a bibliographic reference to A. Kulo, “Väärtpaberid Eestis. Bonds & Shares in Estonia” (International Estonian Philatelic Society, 2003). These numbering systems and catalogs belong to their respective authors, heirs, or publishers.
8.5. Third-party catalog numbers are used solely for the identification of individual entries and for scholarly cross-referencing, and their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by the respective authors or publishers. The Operator does not reproduce the descriptive content of the referenced catalogs.
9. Price Information and Market Data
9.1. Prices and price ranges published on the Website, including in the blog, are indicative and informational estimates only, based on the Operator's experience and publicly available market data at the time of publication.
9.2. Prices in the numismatic market fluctuate and depend on the condition of the item, its certification, demand and the sales channel. The Operator does not guarantee that any item can be sold or purchased at a published price and is not liable for decisions made on the basis of the price information.
9.3. The content of the Website does not constitute investment advice, financial advice or a recommendation to enter into any transaction. Buying and selling collectibles is the user's own decision and risk.
10. Free Evaluation of Coins
10.1. Through the contact form, the Operator offers the possibility to request a free preliminary opinion on a coin, banknote or security.
10.2. The opinion is an informal, preliminary and non-binding assessment given solely on the basis of the photographs and description submitted by the user. An item cannot be conclusively assessed or graded from photographs. The purpose of the opinion is to give a general idea of the condition class of the item, for example whether it is a circulated or uncirculated specimen.
10.3. The opinion is not an expert examination, an authentication decision, a grading result or a guarantee of authenticity, condition or value, and it does not replace the services of NGC, PCGS, PMG or any other certification body. The Operator is not liable for decisions made on the basis of the opinion.
10.4. By submitting photographs and a description, the user confirms that they have the right to share these materials. The Operator uses the submitted materials solely for processing the inquiry and for record-keeping and does not publish them without the user's separate consent. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Paid Collection Evaluation
11.1. At the client's request, the Operator may provide a paid service for evaluating a larger quantity of coins, banknotes or securities, for example in the form of a meeting and a review of the collection.
11.2. The fee, scope and conditions of the service are agreed with the client before the service is provided. The fee is payable regardless of the outcome of the evaluation.
11.3. The evaluation is the Operator's subjective and informal opinion based on visual inspection and is not an expert examination, an authentication decision, a grading result or a guarantee of value. The Operator is not liable for whether an item can later be sold at a price close to the given evaluation, as prices are formed by the market and fluctuate.
11.4. The Operator's liability in connection with the paid evaluation service shall in no event exceed the fee actually paid by the client for that service.
12. Purchase, Sale and Listing of Items
12.1. The Operator purchases rare Estonian coins, banknotes and securities and may from time to time offer individual items for sale. Information displayed on the Website about items for sale is an invitation to enter into negotiations, not a binding offer.
12.2. Transactions are agreed and concluded outside the Website, as a rule at a personal meeting. The price, availability and conditions are specified separately for each transaction and may change without notice. If the Operator sells its own item and the transaction is concluded with a consumer by means of distance communication (for example, a bank transfer and a postal delivery), additional requirements arising from consumer protection law may apply, including a right of withdrawal, which these Terms do not exclude.
12.3. Any preliminary interest or price indication given by the Operator by e-mail or other communication is not binding until an agreement is concluded in respect of a specific item.
12.4. The Website may also display items belonging to third parties whose owners have asked for them to be listed for sale. In such cases, the Operator acts solely as the publisher of the listing and is not a party to the transaction.
12.5. The owner of the item is responsible for the accuracy of the description and for the authenticity, condition and ownership of an item belonging to a third party. The Operator does not verify or guarantee the authenticity, condition or description of such items unless expressly stated otherwise.
12.6. A sale of an item belonging to a third party is concluded directly between the buyer and the seller, and all rights, obligations and claims arising from the transaction exist solely between the buyer and the seller. The Operator is not liable for the occurrence or performance of the transaction, for payments or for the handover of the item.
13. Notification of Infringement and Removal of Content
13.1. If you believe that content published on the Website infringes your copyright or other rights, please send a notice to info@numismaatika.com with the subject line “Rights infringement”.
13.2. The notice must contain: (a) your name and contact details; (b) the exact location (URL) of the content considered infringing; (c) a description of the protected work or right; (d) evidence or reasoning that the rights belong to you; (e) a confirmation that the notice is submitted in good faith and that the information contained in it is true.
13.3. The Operator will review a compliant notice within a reasonable time and, where justified, will remove the content, restrict access to it or modify it, for example by masking a serial number. The Operator may request additional evidence and will inform the notifier of the outcome.
13.4. A person who knowingly submits a false or misleading notice is liable for any damage caused thereby.
14. External Links and Social Media
14.1. The Website contains links to third-party websites and to the Operator's social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). The Operator is not responsible for the content, availability or data processing of third-party sites.
14.2. The use of social media platforms is subject to the terms and privacy policies of the respective platforms.
15. Limitation of Liability
15.1. The Website and the Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The Operator strives to ensure that the information is accurate and up to date but does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or freedom from errors of the Content, including catalog data, mintage figures, historical data, and price information. The catalog may contain inaccuracies, which the Operator corrects on an ongoing basis.
15.2. The Operator is not liable for damage arising from the use of or inability to use the Website, from errors in the Content, from the actions of third parties or from interruptions of the Website, except to the extent that liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
15.3. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the Operator's liability for intentional breach or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
16. Personal Data
16.1. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy of the Website, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
17. Amendment of the Terms
17.1. The Operator may amend the Terms at any time by publishing a new version on the Website. Amendments enter into force upon publication. Continued use of the Website after publication of amendments constitutes acceptance of the amendments.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
18.1. These Terms and the use of the Website are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia.
18.2. Disputes shall be resolved by negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the dispute shall be resolved by Harju County Court, unless mandatory law provides otherwise in favour of a consumer.
18.3. A consumer also has the right to turn to the Consumer Disputes Committee operating at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (ttja.ee).
19. Final Provisions
19.1. If any provision of these Terms proves invalid, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
19.2. The Terms have been drawn up in Estonian, English and Russian. In the event of any discrepancy, the Estonian version shall prevail.
19.3. Questions about the Terms may be sent to info@numismaatika.com.
